It takes away space from displaying music that the user already likes, and instead gives it almost entirely to recommendations, thus rendering the homepage completely unusable for the traditional goal of music streaming services. In addition to not accomplishing the intend goal, it is also opposed to what many users want from their music streaming service, which is playing the music they already like. I have good internet are rarely experience lag on anything, but the new homepage is jumping around and not being responsive, and is overall very hard to use because of this. Everything takes up way too much space to be practical, and the old layout with many songs, artists, and/or playlists being displayed at once makes finding both new and old content much easier.Ģ) it is very laggy. It hinders finding new music in several ways:ġ) The recommended content takes up SO MUCH SPACE! How am I supposed to find lots of new songs and artist when one singular song takes up 90% of my screen? It is not just annoying, but actually crosses into being unusable. On top of this, most users of a music streaming service probably are much more focuses on playing the music they already know and like, as opposed to constantly finding new music.
